Local language courses
Give-Grindsted Uddannelsescenter (GGUC) offers Danish language courses at different levels. Classes are available in Billund, Grindsted and Give, with morning, afternoon and evening classes. Before you start, GGUC will help determine which Danish language programme and level is right for you.
If you are eligible for the official Danish language education programme, the tuition itself is free. A deposit may apply. GGUC also offers other options if you are not eligible for the official programme.
Be aware you'll get a letter in your e-Boks from Billund Municipality about your right to free language courses the first 5 years in Denmark. It is important you respond to the letter no matter if you wish to start learning Danish immediately or later.
Practise Danish at Billund Sprogcafé
Billund Sprogcafé is an informal language café run by volunteers. It is a place to meet others and practise speaking Danish, no matter your level.
The group meets on Thursdays from 12:30 to 14:30 at the library in Billund Centret. There is no need to sign up – you can simply show up and join in.
